i've got a run this weekend, and i'm going to install my Pingel tonight...god willing, it will go smoothly. i want to drain the tank before removel so i'm going to pick a length of gas line to drain from the petcock. 1/4" or 5/16"?

also, while i'm getting the gas line, i'd like to get a length of rubber hose to connect the carbs together...i still have them capped after the AI removal...again, 1/4" or 5/16"? or...?

i'm at work, bike's at home...appreciate someone's input...thanks.

Fairly certain it's a 5/16", at least that's what I used when I re-plumbed all my fuel lines.

Yep, 5/16, tho officially it's 7mm with is for all intents and purposes the same. If the pingel's nipple is facing the same way as the stock tap you may wanna consider buying the stock triumph line because it's shaped for the correct path, while straight line may not make the sharp turns w/o kinking and cutting off the fuel to some degree. thats what i found when trying some i bought at a auto parts. if you do go with straight line try and find some thats like the triumph stuff at least. the typical auto parts line is real thick with fiber reinforcment and if you bend it at sharp angles it collapses at the turn. The stock triumph part is the best way to go as long as the pingel's nipple isn't way different than the stock as far as direction. And it's only like $3 and change.
