...a Thruxton. It's the courtesy bike will mine's having it's brakes done. It currently has 318 miles on it....I'm not sure I like it though. I suppose it could be because it's such a different position compared to anything I've ridden before...
But the 1.5 miles I've done...it goes well!!!!

Good Luck and Good Rididng.
I haven't ridden one yet. But have sat on them. I am not sure if I could ride one for more than a half hour at a time. But, since I haven't actually ridden one, I cant say for sure.
But at the very least, you are on two wheels!

I had one as a courtesy bike a couple of months ago. I gotta be honest that my thoughts were "Hmmmm not to sure about this". It wasnt particularly a great bike to ride, it was almost impossible to get the petrol cap off (no it had hardly any petrol in it), but it was yellow, and I by the time I had to return it, though I kept it quiet, I quite liked it. It had character !

Thanks...did you find out how to take the petrol cap off? While sat at traffic lights on the way home from work I wondered how it came off...then about 1/2 mile later it spluttered and I turned it to reserve...
And I'd warned them not to give me a yellow one!
It's just making my arms hurt. I think if I was to keep it I'd get used to it - I'd end up with arms like Popeye though - but I'm looking forward to getting mine back. Just to stop my arms hurting !

I've had a Bonnie before. And comparitively it was less painful than this... though that was red.
And for the record, my dealer is the dealer thanked in the new Haynes manual for the machines used in the pictures.

Right then. It now has 349 miles in it... Went to Ikea to get some pic frames. From mine to there is around 3 1/2 miles. Got on to the motorway for the blast for about 1 minute and it seemed to be where it was happy. And where my arms didn't hurt! So got the fuel cap off (I refused to go to bed till I'd managed it - I wasn't going back to the dealer just to say I couldn't get the fuel cap off... - stick about a gallon in, and hit the motorway in the other direction. The 20 mile way home beckoned. On the motorway, it seems at home. I did look down and think "flipping eck - I'd better slow down..." the speedo was reading a figure beginning with 1.... the problem was it seemed to want to go even faster. Well I didn't think that, just words to that effect. At speed it's actually a comfatable ride. I suppose because you adopt a different position. Sitting and thinking about it now, back home, I do on the America too. But around the city - I'm not sure...I think I don't like it. There is a lot off power behind it - that and the fact it is so light compared to the America/SM...it goes a little too well! I have two complaints really - other than the arms/back hurting. The speedo is too small. You have to squint to see the speed - hence the ton on the M5... And my knees are by the cylinders. I guess that will be a good thing during the winter but as it's 25+ outside....my knees are still roasting 20 minutes later!
