Trying to swap out the rear shocks for a set of Ikons- little trouble. When pulling off the original shock the lower bushing came out and wont come off the bike. Just wondering if there was a trick before I tear it up- Thanks in Advance!

The shocks are mounted with bolts. If you back the bolt out, everything should come away. Do you mean the bushing is stuck to the bolt or the bushing is actually still hanging on the bike without a bolt or shock on/in it?

If the bushing is just hanging there without the shock or bolt, smack it. it should just drop off. There is nothing holding it on...

If this is not what you mean, please elaborate!

Yeah everything was disconnected- the rubber bushing with sleeve was stuck- cut the rubber and used channel locks to get the metal sleeve off. All done- two mangled bushings left- now going for a spin!

Yea, the BFH works good sometimes too, as do a few beers and some good old fashioned cussing.

Had the same problem on my Speedy, used my trusty leatherman and cut it off.
Cheers!

Hmmm... Well, guess that is because unlike you America drivers, we Speedy drivers spend more time playing in the twisties, than polishing our chrome!

Cheers,
