Last year there was some conversations about guys using a rubber "O" ring cruise control on the inner portion of the grip. I would like to try it out for myself but I can't remember what size "O" ring. I believe that it was 1.5 inch. Can anyone remember if that is correct? Thanks Just got back from a 300 mile trip & wrist was killing me. Averaged 52 mpg, so i can't complain about that.

Here's something I sent a buddy: Just measured my o-ring. It is exactly 1.5" (OD measured) and 1/8" thick. Never closely examined a Bonnie grip, maybe they are different? I rode the bike to the hardware store, took a few samples outside to see what fit, than bought 2-3 pcs. Guess you can't do that at a Lowe's. Did you see the picture from this thread? http://www.triumphrat.net/modules.php?op...32&forum=21

The O-ring method does not work but many, myself included, have gone to the Kuryakyn Throttle Boss:

Yeah, I have the boss on both sides for comfort, but I wanna get my hand off the throttle for a few minutes. And of course... I'm a cheap ****** looking for an O ring solution or something of sort. Is anyone running a set of Kuryakins and a Universal Vista throttle lock? If so, which one? I might just break down and drop the $40. I just want to make sure I get the right one. I'm pressed for time. Thanx

The O-ring method does not work....
Unless I installed my Kuryakyn ISO grip wrong, I can still use the O-ring method. The o-ring I found to work the best is a 44mm x 3.5 mm - this is from the set of 400+ o-rings that I have that have all sorts of different sizes.
Of course, I haven't tried this on the road yet, but it seems to work...

I have put a 1.5 inch 'O' ring between the bar end and throttle, works treat!! Have just done 750 mile run, it was a god send. Only thing I would say though is go out for a couple of short runs first, takes a little getting used to, as throttle is quite stiff. Which makes town work a little hard work. But as it only takes about a minute to put on (including getting alan key out of tool roll!) I think I will take it off and only use on long runs.
