Dunno!
It's a bit wierd really.

I think she's seeing someone, that's why we haven't spoken for such a while.
If I were the new guy, I wouldn't want the ex calling so I didn't.

It was one of those just drift apart things - nothing nasty, it's not in either of our natures to be like that.

S'pose I can move on now.

Pity I'm not drinking otherwise I could have 1/2 bottle of JD tonight!

Well when you're carrying around the title of Baron, you have to keep up appearances.

I am over the wife, but I still miss the dog.

I just shipped off a box of her stuff that I have been keeping for over 3 years. That's the final closure. I was dreading doing it, but now that I've sent if off, it's like a non-event. Slightly satisfying, but more in the sense of cleaning up loose ends.

Enjoy your future, dude. Freedom is a great feeling.

Regards,
Cody

Buy a miniture instead....and have a celebration/commiseration drink. At least that way you won't wake up tomorrow with a bad head...

Or go for a ride to somewhere for no particular reason.

Or do both. Just not in the above order.

What I miss most are my tools and parts stash. She got 3 cars, a boat, power tools, just about everything. For some wierd reason, it didn't occure to her to want my motorcycle, so I was left with it, what clothes I could stuff into my saddlebags and a few hand tools.
There is no chance my dog would have lasted this long, but I miss him too. He was a wolf/shepherd mix, smartest dog I ever saw. Had a great sense of humor....

I'll restrict myself to a small measure and leave the other 2 1/2 litres for another day ...

Glad to hear it isn't "blowing a hoolie".

If I'd have known you needed a drink, I'd have sent you some proper whiskey. I just picked up a mini of Wild Turkey Rare Breed the other day to try before plunking down the cash to buy a big bottle of it. What a Bourbon! Packs quite a whallop though at 108.2 proof(it's barrel proof from a combination of differently aged stock). And if you make it back out to Tombstone, you HAVE to try the 18 yr old Elijah Craig bourbon at Big Nose Kate's.

Wild Turkey's my favorite. The Kentucky Spirit is what all other bourbon's can only aspire to be...not that charcoal filtered urine from Tennessee.

I've been trying to convince Adey of that ever since I heard he liked JD. Bourbon is a more pure whiskey than either JD or Scotch. There are strict rules on how it's made(ie: only freshly charred oak barrels), which I think leads to a better drink. And there aren't many around that make bourbon any better than Jimmy Russell.

On my last break up I ended listening to Billy Bragg's 'A New England' a lot and I think it helped turn me around. About a week later later I realized what a B!TCH she was and I've never been happier. I've never been married so I don't know if it's on the same level, but almost married her and man I'm glad I didn't. Good luck bro!

Paul Weller's Brand New Start is pretty good too.
I like it not because of the divorce (after all, we had been seperated over 2 years) .. it has other meanings for me.

I decided against abusing my body with booze and I'm spending the evening with Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Bill & Ben's friend ....
I'm waiting for it to go dusk and I'll sit watching the bats circling the back yard.

Watching the bats circle the backyard? That's well past middle age and deep into old fogey.

I'm hitting bike night at my neighborhood watering hole, and then off to a bike show across town with a stop on the way at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet to get a refill for my wife's cologne...something called Melati Keraton(Jasmine smelling stuff).

I try to avoid local bike nights - full of power ranger types or the other end, H-D posers.

Went past a boozer tonight full of the latter.

A country pub near me did have a decent night on Mondays - free BBQ for bikers.
I doubt they'll continue that this summer though, sadly they lost their young son at the end of last year in a bike accident.

If I can muster the energy to get to my walking frame, I'm off to find my slippers .....

We have a good group at our local bike night, from patch holders to riding clubs, to independents. Not a big crowd, most bike nights there's maybe 15-20 bikes tops. Everyone's a rider, and everybody gets along. I see a little bit of everything there, including this little beauty:
