I'm starting to feel like a Triumph billboard. I have Triumph patches all over my jacket and I'm thinking it's a little overkill. Especially the big wing patch on my back. I'm thinking of transferring some of them to a vest. For some reason it makes me feel a little uncomfortable like I'm a Triumph snob or something. Maybe it's a Triumph in your face kinda feeling.

Yup, I used that super hold patch iron on stuff. It would ruin my jacket if I peeled it off.

I understand...I have a large Triumph wings patch on the back of my jacket, low down...I have a Triumph rocker patch on the left shoulder...I have a metal Triumph bar and shield above the right breast pocket, and several other assorted Triumph pins over the left breast pocket (always feel funny when I say I have BREAST pockets...???) anyway, to continue, large Triumph bar and shield patch on the back of my vest, BA.com patch on the left chest, Triumph Made In England triangle patch on the right chest, with metal Triumph wings directly over it. I have a Triumph belt buckle, Triumph hoodie, numerous Triumph T-shirts, a Triumph watch, a couple of Triumph coffee mugs, Triumph pictures and placques on my walls at home and at work, pics of Triumphs on the door of my office, Union Jacks (God Save the Queen) all over the place, Union Jack wrist bands, British bikes calendars... There's a few Triumph sport bikes in town, I think a RIII but no other Americas, or SM's...generally, I'm known as "the guy with the Triumph" LOL...ya think? LOL...kinda feel like a Harley guy but with a Triumph instead! But who cares? I get nothing but respect and compliments from the independant riders as well as the local clubs, including the "OMG's"...overdone? maybe, but tastefully and artfully overdone... ...and I won't change it for nobody..

Cheers, Dwight

Well Rob, I have NO actual experience regarding "Ron's Sword" per se...BUT I hear his ex-wife comments about THAT have usually started with...."strictly DULLSville, baby"!
Cheers, Dwight (yep...she was a lot older than him, and STILL uses 1950s slang)

Dwight, If you see my ex-wife in El Camino tell her she left her teeth behind and they're in the downstairs bathroom in a cup and they're grossing me out.

Ron, What kind of adhesive did you use? It's about time I started getting the rally patches attached to my Triumph Highway jacket but the leather is pretty thick and a regular sewing needle isn't going to cut it. I could try to poke very small hole into the leather but I think I'd rather just use a really strong adhesive.

I have that same jacket, only way to get thru that would be with a jackhammer... no sense in ruining the leather!

I have one Triumph patch on my Triumph highway jacket. It is covering some road rash on the left elbow. A guy at a bike show sewed it on for me. I wish I had the BA.com patch on there instead, but I think it's too late now. My vest has a few Triumph patches and pins on it though.

I have a Nylon jacket and I use this High Bond Patch Stuff from Walmart. It comes in a big roll for about $6.00. It works good on Nylon and cloth but I never tried it on leather. The package does say that it works on leather. I just laid my patches on it and cut out the shape with an exacto knife. Iron on in about 8 sec. You get it in the sewing section of any Walmart.

That stuff is very good to orient a patch for sewing. Won't move during stitching...

Just tried to put a pin on my vest from a poker run I did out of Chandler Harley-Davidson, but one of them just bent over and broke. Gee, none of my Triumph pins have ever done that.

Hey Fishercat jacket looks really good, I have one similar and thought the same thing "OVERKILL", but people certainly remember you after seeing your jacket. Stick some metal badges on it as well....
