When I first got my bike and after each oil change, juice comes out of the tranny where the shifter cable goes in on the left side (I think, I dunno Im not a gearhead). Any cause for concern or is this normal?

Do you mean the clutch cable on the top of that side? Or the shifter lever on the bottom of that side?

This is not normal. There is a seal in there and if you are under warranty, take it back to your dealer and ask for it to be fixed...

Yeah it's the clutch cable on the top of the left side. Leaks a clear fluid, doesnt look like oil. Any idea how long it will take a dealer to fix that seal??? Ive gotta lead a ride on the 16th, dont want it stuck at the dealers for this part. What is that fluid Phil??

Danged if I know... It 'could' be cosmoline.
You say it only happened when you first got it and after oil changes?
So does it go away and how long does it take if so? Who is doing the oil changes and are you sure the proper amounts were put in?
Might be the pressure from fresh oil but that's a stretch.
If you take it in, it should not be a very long job. No more than a couple hours.

Yeah, has happened ever so slightly since I got it in Dec 05. Is always first right after the dealer does an oil change, then gets better. Looks like the dealer is putting the right amount in. Figure switching out that valve shouldnt take long, hope we're right. Bad part is I gotta drive ~3 hours to take it to the closest dealer!

That's a ride alright and sucks to have to but I would definitely take it back and get them to fix it.

As far as I know there are no clear fluids inside of the motor. This is a stretch but, maybe it is water that seeps in and is forced out again by the oil change?
if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

My bike had a leak at this point from day one. It appeared to be clear cause the oil was new and clean so when you swabbed your finger on it looked like it could be cosmoline.
In fact that is what the service manager told me it was during his pre-first ride indoc speech after the sale when I picked up the bike. It was oil.
The dealer fixed it under warranty.
