Ok, guys I need therapy. My brother has a Suzuki GSX-R 600 (in addition to his Hardley DrivenSome)--I've rode it a few times-ya know, just up the street and back, kinda like "Yeah, that's nice, now back to my America"...anyhoo, yesterday I ACTUALLY took it for a three hour ride, AND NOW I'M HOOKED!! My girlfriend loves to ride on my bike, wants one of her own, but she wants a sport bike herself. Of course I've been trying to change her over to the cruiser thing, but now I've found myself surfing Triumph's website all morning (if I do get one, of course its gotta be a Trumpet), salivating over the Daytona 675, calling my dealer to find out their stock, pricing the darn things......HELP, PLEASE SOMEONE, STOP THE MADNESS. hahahahahahahahahaha (EVIL LAUGH).

Lee, I too have been thinking about adding another bike(mine is down) to the stable and the 675 is also at the top of my list. They run about $9K don't they? Nice choice. I like the scorched yellow too. Kind of a golden color. Very clean lines with the exhaust up through the tail piece and narrow. Slick. I think you should buy one and give us a seat of the pants review!

Jaymo, I just found a website called Triumph675.net, they've got some great stuff on there...if I get one, its gotta be the graphite color for sure. Time will tell....if it happens, I will post pics, reviews, all that. "TRAITOR"--I can hear it now haha.

I can't help you stop the madness but I can help you form a support group. I can't stop thinking about the yellow one that my dealer has (he actually has one of each color). A friend of mine in England told me about Triumph675.net and I've been checking it out ever since looking for mod ideas and other stuff (first change will be pipes and frame sliders). I've been looking at new leathers and insurance recently. My current insurance company says it'll be around $1500 a year for the 675 and the Speedmaster with $1000 deductible I'm only paying $400 a year with a $250 deductible on the Speedy right now.

Jaymo, I feel your pain, last night I was trying to make my excel file budget tell me what I wanted to hear, that is, that I could afford a 2006 Black Honda VFR Interceptor, in addition to the note on my Speedmaster.

I have not ridden a 675 yet, but sitting on it was not comfortable. Now the Speed Triple........................

I'm with you Bogie. That speed tripple is amazing. Actually comfortable, and way faster than I'll ever need to go.

I have ridden the speed triple and loved it too. I'll have to give the 675 a demo (the truck is is Syracuse in June) As a second bike maybe I can screw it on in small doses.

Lucky mf'ers. The truck isn't going to be anywhere near me this year unless I trot back down to Daytona for Biketoberfest. I made it to Daytona this March for a few days but never got there earlier enough to demo it. I'll have to go bug my dealer but I don't think any of the 675's are demos.

I'm just jealous that you can even think about buying a sport bike, because I can't tolerate that riding position after 7 knee operations.

If you want a more relaxed riding position, and probably cheaper insurance, try a used Thunderbird Sport, or even a Kawasaki Z750S. Speaking of which, I don't know why more manufacturers don't make 750 motors. Looking at the GSXR-750 and the Z750S, that's about the max performance you'd ever want to have or need on a street bike. The Hayabusas and the new ZX-14 are just overkill.

The TBS has somewhat rear-set pegs... They seem about the same position wise as a speed tripple. A regular TB or Legend... That's different.
