I have a set of short tors on now, and i have a set of stock pipes, I was wondering which ones would sound better modified? [read loud]. I want the louder of the two.

My guess'd be the TOR's, if for no other reason than they're shorter so there's less room in there for the sound to bounce around.

I would modify the TOR pipes and keep the stock ones as is. Never know when you might need to put the stock ones back on to make the politicians happy.

Get the JCWhitney shorties if you want LOUD. I have 'em and love 'em. I've had my bike in NYC for a few days now and I set off every car alarm I pass.

If your TORs are anything like mine, the stock pipes will be easier to de-baffle. I have the short Speedmaster off-roads, which aren't much louder than stock. And after taking them off and looking at them, I don't know how to go about making them louder...which is why I ended up with Epcos. Looking through my pipes, there's a straight hole about 1/2-3/4" inches in diameter running through it's entire. length, so there aren't any baffles to drill out.
