Yellow and black jackpot for the record its a great looking bike After work yesterday we go out for a run, lots of ccs in that puppy. Firt of he hits the gas hard thinking my "nice little bike" is not going to keep up but there it was right behind him. Pulls a long hill he hits it again , there is the "nice little bike" right there. Then we get to my favorite farm road section. The "nice little America" takes the lead. Lots of empty roads with curves. The $21000 Victory doesnt seem to keep up very well. I stop at a Stop sign and wait for him I ask him did he have a problem with his bike? No No he says go for it I can keep up. The last 15 miles there seemed to be no Victory in the rear view mirror. When he caught up I have to tell you it was a great looking bike as it struggled through every turn and I watched it and it rolled up well behind my Cute little America.

There's a new silver Victory Vegas in town. When I walked out of the barber shop last week there it was, parked next to my bike. Sweet looking ride. Nice custom touchs incorporated from the factory. Can't speak to the performance, but in a road test I saw on TV they said it doesn't corner very well - too many bits hanging low.

I have always like the look and sound of the Victory's. As luck would have it I was out running around a couple of weeks back and spotted this babe in a skimpy bikini grinning from ear to ear so I naturally have to stop. Polaris/Victory was having an open house demo ride complete with some babes washing bikes. Nice. So I pull in a walk over to the showroom and they are loading up for a demo ride. I was standing maybe 1 min. when this salesrep ask, do you want to ride a demo. Sure. Honest engine within 5 mins I'm on one of there bikes rolling down the highway the pack leader stopped several so we could swap bikes around. I rode every bike they had, the Jackpot,Vegas, blackjac, dueces wild, sucide kings, oneyed jacks, whatever. Smooth ride, plenty of power, but the things vibrated too much. Stuff was rattling and the one with the really fata$$ tire I think it was the Jackpot did not corner for sh*t. Lean into a corner it was like a sinking vessel trying to right itself. Needless to say I have a different opinion of Victory's. I've road, HD Ultra and the RoadKing, much better performer IMHO. Oh well free t-shirt and plenty of eye candy for and hour or so. Jumped on my Red stead and road off right through the next demo ride. Almost forgot, when we returned from the demo ride this cat in shorts, tank top and Reeboks walked up and told me he just purchased a bike like I was on. How you like says he,Me,uh lots of power.Me,did you demo the bike,he no I don't have a license yet.

Hey Chris I like Victory's but I'd certainly re-think buying one after this tale!

Mike,
Now I'll admit the 76 Bonneville was the first bike I sat on or rode (the Ba's the 2nd), but tales like that bother me for some reason . Hope the guy uses his head.

Sounds like a Dylan song.. I also rode a few of the 100 CI Victory models. Lots of power, but vibrated like an SOB. Something about the engine just doesn't look right and the whole styling thing appears to be just trying a little too hard.

I've read on other web sites that the Victory is a real vibratin' ride - counter balancers not withstanding.

Good report. Sounds consistent with everything that I have read. Very nice looking, real expensive, vibrates more than a Harley, no handling at all!

The biggest problem that I see with this bike is that it's not a Triumph!

My brother in law just bought a brand new black vegas, it the one with the 180 tire not the 250 or whatever, first with exhaust it sounds awsome and its a fantastic looking and handling bike from my experience on the bike, also this thing is a monster it would rip my America apart in a race, it lifts the front wheel in first gear if u slam the throttle. My dad has a 97 bigdog and its aroudn 90 horse and this thing is everybit as fast and my pops bike embarresses me its so fast lol.. But don't ge me wrong I love my bike and don't want anything else.. Oh and by the way he payed 12grand for the vegas brandnew so whoever paid 21 got ripped lol
