Hi all!
Bought a pair of Sceptres a couple of years ago, and I like 'em a lot. However they're a bit loud sometimes so I mailed Team Triumph about repacking the core, and this is the answer I got: " If you are looking to reduce the sound level, your best bet would be to purchase a set of the tuned inserts that we are working on. They will be online and available by the end of this month. There will be two different styles to choose. You can open the pipes by drilling out the stainless rivet with a #7 drill bit. Then the baffle will slide out the backside. "
Have anyone here tried to repack a pair of Sceptres?

I haven't tried to repack them, but I will be ordering the inserts as soon as they are available.

I've been waiting on the tuned inserts as well - of course I have other issues at present that outweigh the inserts. Looking forward to seeing how you guys make out with those. Any idea on what the projected cost will be?

Mike, Over the course of several emails to team triumph, they never once mentioned projected price. Sceptres are straight pipes with a cylindrical tube type baffle. Long time ago I snapped this pic of the inside of the sceptres. Psychedelic man.

I think they told me they would be about 80 bucks, but that was a month ago. They were (and are) still in developement, so the price could have changed.
