Guys, I received the Haynes manual today. I Haven't read the entire manual yet but it looks pretty desciptive. The photos are easy to see and the instructions seem clear and concise. The only problem I found was changing the metric system to US standard(Uncle Sam trained me to use both when I was a mechanic/foreman/sgt. for my Battalion) and the book has conversion charts for that. All in all I think you guys will like and find it usefull.....Angelis

I checked the Haynes US website again today. It's still not listed. It is available on the Haynes UK website however. 20 Pounds plus shipping and probably import duties as well.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Hey Brent,
I hope you got a lot of them for those of us who are too cheap to buy the $80+ Truimph manual.
Thanks Dood, you just saved me a trip to Barnes & Noble.
So, I'll ride somewhere else.

I'd just like people to see the front cover.
Anyone care to notice what bike (and colour) they choose to use to represent the America / Speedy contingent????

Okay, okay . . . someone that has one please give us the ISBN? My gal is the manager of a book store so I get her 33% employee discount - IF I know the ISBN.

And is there that much mechanical/electrical difference between a 2005 and a 2006 America? Or can I consider them the same? I just got my 2006 America last Friday, the 19th of May.

I hate when that happens!

I did a search the other day and it appears that NONE of the big book vendors in the US have this yet.

I emailed Haynes and they replied with:

Please contact our order desk at 1-800-442-9637 CA or 1-800-242-4637 TN and they will be able to help you.

Thank you for your interest in Haynes Automotive/Motorcycle Manuals.

Ok you can get it via that TN 1-800-242-4637 number above but you have to give them the book number 4364 because they don't have it listed for a TBA just for TB.
35.95 and 5 for shipping.. 15 for 2 day fedex

I've ordered it today...it being pay day and all that... I should have it by Wednesday.

But sorry Brent. I ordered it direct from the Haynes site. I'm not paying customs and excise more money, as you've probably have to pay money to yours already!

Ok got it and i was really not all that impressed.
It's a good book, don't get me wrong, but at first glance it just seems a little bland so to speak.
This is just my 2 cents. Which is about all I got these days.

If you were debating on this book for some very very serious in depth info, or you already have a much better than general idea about what your doing, i would probably suggest the real service manual.
If your looking for a beginers/general, but also explanatory, book This is a real good buy for $35.

Enjoy
