I just received my new shocks to install on my Speedmaster. They are the stock ones to replace the original ones. I received them because of the recall. Is there any special way to remove the old ones & install the new ones? I am thinking just remove the two bolts on each one & reinstall.
As simple as that except you might use a jack or stout friend to lift the rear slightly as the suspension will drop a little on that side. Been there , done that. Don't forget a drop of blue loctite on the stock shock mount bolts when re-installing.
with the wheel off the ground and both shocks off the swingarm will drop until the wheel touches the ground. use the jack to just straighten the bike up and take the pressure off the shocks.

Got them on today. Thanks for the help. I did not see anything on them about right or left shock. They installed fairly easy. Did not ride since we have 6in of snow. Thanks again everyone.
