Hi Everyone

I read on here in the last day or so that Triumph have stopped making the Chrome side panel(metal) for the side of the bikes.

Just thought I would let everybody know that they are still available in the UK, I contacted http://www.onyertriumph.net and I ordered one today. I also asked if they would email to confirm the order, a copy is below,

Further to our phone conversation, here is the information you required. The chrome side panel for the USA (pt no: A9738060) costs £119.99 inc VAT. There is an extra charge for delivery of £10.00 inc VAT for mainland Britain, taking the total payable to £129.99. I will order that today and as soon as I receive it from Triumph, I will despatch it immediately. Thank you for your order. All the best,
Bryan Davies

Gasp, gag, choke. I could make one myself for that money

Hey Pat

This is the UK, probably half that price in the US.

My understanding was that the side panel isn't metal just chrome covered plastic.

I believe the chrome side panel number you mentioned is for the Bonneville. It may well be metal. The correct number for the chromed plastic side cover for the TBA and SM is A9730052 and should cost much less (if you still can find it).

It looks like chrome parts are much cheaper in England than they are in America. Chrome chain guard is like $39.00 compared to $69.00 in the states. What gives ???

Hiya Stash
Why shouldn't we get our accessories a bit cheaper than you?
You get the bikes about 30% cheaper than us !!!
In the Uk, a chrome chain guard is £39.99 which equates to around $70.

Unfortunately got a telephone call today, "onyertriumph" can not get hold of the chrome side panel, so ordered the rear foot footrest holders and the chrome number plate holder instead.

Last time I visited my dealer he still had one or two left. If you want, I could check with him...
