As some of you know, I'm searching for an BA or SM I just came across a BA with 6600 miles in my area, the guy is asking $5300 - what do you think? Includes a couple aftermarket upgrades, including a gunfighter seat. Opinions? Are the miles high for the price?

What year is it? What are the aftermarket pieces? Does he still have the stock seats? Any mods?

I picked up a 03 SM with same miles, two seats, sissy bar, bunch of crome, risers, belt conversion etc. for $5k. Got from a dealer and also got $350 in store credit.

Anymore thoughts on this deal? I would love to hear some more opinions.

I have seen two for sale around here lately. Both red and black speedmasters. I know that there is one on rt 4 in Durham just past wagon hill farm. The guy has had it out almost every nice day since last sept. Next time I drive by I'll grab the contact info for you. The other was in Nottingham for 6200, havent seen it for a couple of weeks though.

Note BMWHD has a brilliant 02 for sale at $5,900 (see classifieds). Not near you but a good comparison point.

Grail, 6600 miles is nothin'. I've seen '03s anywhere from $4K to $6K on The Market. So this sounds just about right. And Grump has a good point about the tire and brake wear, too. So check that out. Cheers, Dwight (I wonder if Howie Mandell rides a Triumph?....naw....I'll bet that dweeb rides a SCOOTER)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Doesn't sound too bad to me...I got my '03 last year with 1500 miles a ton of chrome, gunfighter seat, pipes, for $6300.

I'd say that is a little high. Look up the Kelley blue book price. Donny,a member here, sold his for $5,000 and it had Sceptre pipes, all the extra chrome available and it was really in excellent condition.
