Took my bike for a 400 mile ride this weekend. Riding style ranged from crusing along at 80mph to creeping along at 20mph in thick fog. Got 50mpg. Love this bike.

my 02 America got 50mpg when new and I got around 37 on the trip to GA. I have many mods and added lots of weight to the bike, and running 80-90 mph did not help . Most new , un modded America or Speedy shoud get around 50.
Even in stock condition I think you will find the power good They do not have tons of torque but the like to rev so the power is there.

I have the Nology coils and wires, NGK Iridium plugs, those fishatail pipes. The bike is running a little bit lean. All around (in town and highway) I average 45.

I had to meet a future bride. I will photograph their wedding 60 miles from here. I was riding in extreme side, quarter, and head on winds. I went 132 miles and it took 2.8 gals. 47 MPG.

No doubt, the amount of stop and go vs. hwy. makes a big difference. Overall I got 40-45 new with no mods. I now get 35-40, although riding to Daytona in March on back roads (60-65 mph), I got around 44 mpg. Coming back on the Interstate at 75 mph, I fell below 40.

with all of the around town riding I do, about 40-41mpg consistently with Bub/132mains/gutted airbox and 18t sprocket. Goes up to about 45mpg, but I am usually pushing 75-80 on the Interstate, so might be better if I backed off a bit...

I usually get 43 to 50 depending on conditions that are (mostly) beyond my control. A few times with all highway riding and staying in sight of the speed limit, I have gotten 53 - 57.

I got 44+ last Friday - 160 miles from pump to pump, having gone to reserve at 152, and only was able to squeeze in 3.6 gallons.
I always figure right at 40, so when I go to reserve...
Same trip, on the way back home, I hit reserve at 136. That was after midnight, and the first leg of the trip was in early afternoon on a hot day. Expansion from the heat may play a role here.....

I am amazed at the differences in milage reported with similar mods. I guess the odometers could be ± 10% making for a possible 20% error difference. The other main variables are riding style and city vs. hwy. According to my odometer, the highest I've ever gotten (all hwy. below 70 mph - pump to pump) is 44 with the mods I have.

Daily driving = 54 mpg. Sometimes better 57, some times less.
'03 BA, T-bike pipes, AI removed, stock jets 3 turns out. And California emissions systen, (vapor recovery system).
Blue '03 TBA, Made in England. (50+ mpg).

what should be a big part of your mileage is also the SIZE of the rider.
I get 40 miles a gallon and I am extremely hard on the throttle and I weigh 250lbs
