Looks just awesome. You've managed to build my dream bike. I'll trade you my green 04's straight-up? At least tell me about the bars?

I got them off ebay. They are 12" hangers. The grips are aluminum knurled. Got them off ebay also. Thanks for the complements.

Ok. I am gonna be honest. I like the look of the stock bike so much better. But I do appreciate all the work and effort you have put into it.
Different strokes for everyone. I especially dont like ape hangers. They just dont look practical. Every time I see somone riding this way I have to ask myself...WTF?
My neighbor has a chopped harley with long ape hangers and if looks so silly reaching way up there.
But like I said to each his own....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Strick, how's that 2 into 1 exhaust system working out, that thing looks WICKED!!! Did you bend that yourself or take her to a muffler shop? Also that satin paint job is Suhweet!

Dooooooooooooood great looking bobber. Congrats, enjoy it. Hey clankincrade, for some guys hangers or mini-apes are more comfortable. Not me, I dont like em and I prefer drag bars, but I have a buddy who is much more comfortabe with mini-apes

The guy who helped me build it does exhaust and other stuff. He did it for me. The exhaust sounds great. I wish I knew how to put a sound bite on here so ya'll can here the difference. Its kindof loud, but not obnoxious. I can tell a big difference in the power.

Wow, great work. If I didn't ride with my wife on back, mine would look like that! (well, I probably wouldn't have the guts to spray flat black over the shiny paint...) I really like what you did with the air box/batter cover, much better than other attempts seen here (no offense to the other guys). How hard was it to work up the tank, molding in where the console resided? A lot of swing-arm bobbers just don't look right, but yours has just the right stance, plus it's actually ridable unlike a rigid. Excellent work.

Took another look versus the other bobbers in the photo galleries - It's that rear fender and struts that really make it work. How about a close-up of that fender/strut setup?

"WOW" You should most certainly feel proud of what you've done. You've done the customising YOURSELF! Fabricated parts, etc. I think even if I was filthy rich, I'd feel more satisfaction / pride doing it all myself - instead of dropping my bike at a customising shop and saying "Pimp my Bike!!" TOP JOB. Question... is it a stock tank? OK 2 questions, did you fill the "hole/dent" under the standard console?

Strick, very nice bike!! Does the guy who built your exhaust do this on the side? I've been looking for a crossover/shotgun style exhaust for my SM.

Would your exhaust building buddy do custom headers for fellow forum members? I have an idea - not 2 into 1, so not a copy.

I'm not sure on the hours. The rear fender took the longest. We took two utility trailor fenders, split them and put them together. Needless to say, there was a lot of body work to get it looking good.

Very nice..as I have stated before..these bikes just scream to be bobbed and you have done a wonderful job. Best part of it all it was your vision. I too did a bob job against all my biker friends wishes. Once you start you can start. You definately de-dorked(no insult intended...I just couldn't see riding mine in stock form again)the bike. Great job..and I like the apes. I went drag....I tossed a coin to make my decision.

Great Job Jason, Much better than I anticipated. I was in Jacksonville on the way back from Georgia (after missing the turn up 431 due to torrential rainfall). I thought about calling you, but wanted to continue trudging my way home. I turned and passed Jacksonville high school turned right, then left to Valley Meats, turned left, then right and back onto 431, then 144(?) and to 77 north to 278 to Cullman then home. Pretty country side. See you soon. Name your bike? Allow me! "Cletus" or "Ida Mae"

Strick, Thanks for the info. I contacted Al, and he's setting me up with the pipes I really want on my bike. Also, many thanks to you for letting him use your bike as a "template", I really appreciate it!
