Has anyone else registered for a RAT Raid recently?

Maybe I'm just daft, but what the H is that blue thingey that comes with the confirmation? It kinda looks like a coaster. But it has a key ring loop.

It would crack in two in a heartbeat. It's only thin plastic with a non-skid foam backing.

With the closest RAT Raid almost 1,000 miles away at Lake Tahoe, I don't think I'll be signing up for one anytime soon.

When you go to the Kootenay Raid, could you ask whoever shows up from Newnan why there's so few RAT Raids now?

The confirmation form letter that came with the thingey said they're planning on doubling the number of events in the next few years. I don't know if that means the bigger Raids or the smaller day rides.

We got TWO when we registered for the Pocono Raid.
It's a kickstand coaster, and it's so nice I won't stick it under my kickstand. I 'll continue to use my beat-up MSF coaster.

Greybeard,

One of the guys who taught the Motocycle Safety Course that I completed was an ex-police officer (maybe they all are). In an admission of an abuse of power (although he thought it was merely funny) he said he once booked a guy for "possession of an opened container" because he was using a flattened beer can to side-stand his bike. Apparently, the biker was being a little to "vocal" with him so he busted him.

So beware those flattened beer cans, dudes and dudettes - or just don't P-off officers of the law!

Siggy

If life wasn't so pointless and absurd, I would take it more seriously.

Well just last year they had RAT Raids all over the country. This year they scaled way back on them, and now there's only half a dozen or so. I was wondering why they did that.
