For some, ok many of you this wont count.. But for me it works out pretty good..
Most of you know I have a few bikes ( 8 last count) and all but 1 of them has any type of storage on them.. So in other words if it dont fit in my pocket, I dont buy it..And since I usualy leave the house with my smokes, my inhaler( yeah yeah I know) my camera, cell phone, and my wallet I really dont have anywhere to put stuff.. so I can go to places and not have a way to get stuff home there by saving me money cause I wont buy it... See that is the reason everyone needs more motorcycles.. If that dont work tell the wife by not buying stuff cause you got nowhere to put it give her more money to buy her self stuff.. Now if you have saddle bags all bets are off...

I bought a really small rucksack for that purpose... I can fit my diary, phones (ones a work one...) keys, wallet, a book to read while at work and not much else. Unless I buy small stuff, I can't fit anything else in there.
I do have panniers (saddlebags) but I only put them on when away for a couple of days. The rest of the time there safety kept in a cupboard...

After 8 bikes, you're finally figuring this out? ".... No honey, I can't pick up a new vacuum, 2 gallons of milk, and a box of hoohaas on the way home...."

But how do you carry spare batteries and beer?
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I'm chuckling about Gina's post. Her backpack sounds like my wife's purse!

Matthew! Why this post o' yours is MOST un-American, Dude! Buyin' stuff one doesn't really need, KEEPS this economy of ours GOIN'! What?! How many out o' work CHINESE would it take for YOU to see that NOT buyin' somethin' you don't really need is NOT the way to keep this standard of livin' we enjoy here(at least for the moment) from goin' up in SMOKE???!!! Cheers, Dwight (I "pray" you'll see the error of your ways after you reexamine your stance here)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

So just in case you were wondering... He is the bag that Beano was thinking of... Just not the one I use for work! He even has a Triumph badge on his biker jacket. I'd put a BA.com badge on his jacket, but they're too big. I need a little pin... But I may have a thought on that by the Dahn Sarf run... He's my lucky sheep. I go for rides with him and I don't fall off. The one time I didn't, and the courtesy SM I was riding at the time hit the dirt....

my bike averages 40mpg around town consistently, vs 22mpg in town for my VW Passat, so at $3/gallon almost, yep, it's a veritable piggy bank. Almost pays for the goodies I want to buy!
