Hey guys-
I was posed the following question on another board...I know that Lucas is no longer, but do any of you have a more complete answer? Is it Japanese electrics now....or do you all have anything to add? Going to bat for our Triumphs with some folks....
from other board: "Is Hinkley still using Lucas electrics? I think that they are better because they went to a separate electrical supplier didn't they?"
Thanks folks, Rob

Radiator, at least some of the stuff (console, Throttle Position Sensors) are SIEMENS, and I think some NGK stuff for the spark system. Not sure about other stuff, haven't looked that closely cause it hasn't been breaking (in which case, I have to say, who cares who made it)

Good question, Rob. I think the Lucas stuff went out when Triumph had their little "hiatus". Was 1977 the last year of making the Triumphs before they went under? Somebody with a Triumph, history book, help me out. -PES

1983, was the last of the Bonnevilles out of Meriden, they were still being built but everything went down South if I remeber rightly...
I have a pic of my 1983 T140E in my photo's but I believe money was tight and they were slinging anything together. Saying that I loved my T140E, only traded it in for my TBA, last year.
