Stopped at a Triumph dealership today to pick up a couple new jets and to check out the new bikes. I wanted to see the new Daytona 675's and asked if they had one to look at as they are supposed to be pretty hot. The guy was telling me that they have already presold 9 of them. So he couldn't tell me when they would have one on the floor. I think that is great, I like to hear that Triumph's are really starting to take hold. I just don't want to see them go out of business and then where would we be? Iam really wanting to take a Rocket for a ride but I am just afraid that if I ride one I will have to have one. If I would have thought to bring a helmet along and If I didn't have the kids with me, today would have been a beautiful day to take a test ride. One of these days I will ride one then who knows Well again I am just glad to hear that Triumphs are really taking hold. Well out here! Ron

Rode a 675 demo last weekend. Mucho fun and fast with tremendous brakes. Baby wheelies into 2nd. and 3rd without even trying. Introduced 30 years too late for these old bones !

Very true Maurice have had a 675 out a few times now and it does more than I ever could do now. Acheing arms wrists and shoulders after about 45 mins, just older I guess.
the joys of a mate having the dealership!!!

I haven't ridden one yet, but I have sat on it. My first impression is that it is a very nice looking bike (for a sport bike), but just sitting on it, it felt too small.

Saw one at my local dealer last week. First thing to come to mind was how small it looked. It was almost as if it was a 7/8th scale model.

Motorcyclist Magazine had a great write up on the 675 a few issues back. Triumph worked hard to get it narrow and light. http://motorcyclistonline.com/firstrides/122_0511_2006_triumph_daytona_675/

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

A wonderful piece of work. One of the better looking sportbikes out today.

So far, it's been the only sport bike to ever catch my eye. At 24 years old, you could call me a young buck, but since I can't afford a 2nd bike right now, I will be taking donations.

C'mon...you all know you want to live vicariously through me...

I rode with the pack two weeks ago. Two of the guys have the 675. FAST!!!!!!! I sat on the bike for a couple minutes. It seemed to small for me and the riding position is too young for my bones. we had two groups. Sport bikes and the cruisers. joe

I had the TT600, very nice but at 44 it was a lot quicker than my brain and my hands could move, probably explained why it ended up splatted in bits in a country lane in East Yorkshire England. Also I never noticed the pot hole in the road.. Hence my TBA in July of 2004...
