Vist the "Tech Vault" forum and access the "intake/carbs" section and visit the link for "Triumphant" Therein you will find detailed instructions on how to drill the airbox.

grind out a nice oval with a diegrinder or dremel in front of the tabs on the airbox.... then grind out the bottom of the filter up to the foam part & you are all set.

we should do this every weekend!

Yes, as yota said. However, be aware of the plastic dust and bits. They will go everywhere INCLUDING to the other side of the restrictor plate where you can't get to it to clean it out. Plastic dust and shavings in carbs=not good ! Plug up the holes in the restrictor with rags, then when done clean every particle you can get to out of all areas. Using a dremel as i did is especially bad in this way, as it spews tons of ground up dust everywhere. Might be a good idea to cut out the bottom with a soldering pencil or something like that. But i didn't think of that when i did it.

A shop vac works great in the air box for clean up.
then a rag w/some cleaner.
Holes on my air box & filter bottom were done w/a hole saw on my drill. The pattern was three 1 1/8 inch holes in the shape of a triangle on both the box & filter.
TIP: do your filter first, then place in air box...trace holes to the bottom of air box w/a white grease pencil...remove filter & drill aribox holes.
Clean...DONE!
TIME: 15 min
PROS: Now your carbs are definitely sucking!
CONS: U made some holes in your bike

Wouldn't cutting out the restricter plate be the next step? Where the 2 other snorkels were in.
