Does the Speedmaster seat mount the same way that the TBA seat does? With bolts? I picked up a seat a while back and was told that it was for a Triumph Thunderbird. I was going to see if I could retro fit it to an older Triumph as I liked the look, however it would take more cutting and welding than what I would like to do. I believe that I purchased this seat before they ever started to build the Speedmasters. This seat has a pull ring on the left side of the seat that activates a latch that is incorporated into the seat. This seat would slip into a mount like the TBA's up at the gas tank then just pops down onto a pin that would be mounted to the frame or rear fender. Does this sound like anything anyone has seen out there?

yes, a pin where the front seat bolt would be on an America, and rear bolt where the pillion bolt is. have heard that the pin is not really nessicary(sp), just slide under tank and use pillion bolt.
