Hi Tom

This topic has been discussed on here before, infact when I first bought my bike it had squeeky front forks, the mechanic at the dealer just squirted some WD40 up the front forks seems to have cured it. I know others did something else but cannot remember what, try searching to see if you can find your answer...

Ray's right. WD40 shot up the front insides and they stop squeaking.

I also did WD40*...solved it for a while...then the squeak came back but eventually went away over time.

My front forks where squeaking from new, found the problem to be that the fork shrouds where out of alignment (lower) a thicker washer under the alan screw on the offending side solved my problems.

I have developed a squeak in my front left fork since installing the Progressive springs. I'll shoot some WD 40 up there to see if it quits. I am wondering if the lower shroud is now out of alignment?

Try a silicone spray, it will last longer than WD-40. Any auto parts store will carry it. It says on the can "Stops Squeeks". Sparyed mine 3 weeks ago, so far no squeek. Brakes squeek, that's a different story and different thread, waiting for parts from Brent.

My forks have developed this annoying trait in the last few weeks or so. At first I was dumbfounded at the sound. I thought something was loose on the front of the bike.

I will need to try the fixed detailed herein.

Great place for problem solving this.
