Hey guys, just traded my 650 V-Star for an 02 TBA about 3 weeks ago. It came with a touring seat. It has a quick release deal in the middle of the seat and the single bolt in the rear. My question is what would i need to go back to the stock seat for mounting? Will this set up work with the pillion pad and solo seat? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi sonny, and welcome to the site.

All you need to do is unscrew the central mounting bolt for the touring seat and replace it with the 2 bolts that fit the saddle & pillion pad to the bike.

Be aware that the front bolt isn't a regular one - it has a built in spacer that's required if you want to use the pillion pad. Brent at www.newspeedmaster.com sells pretty chrome ones, or I'm sure you can get the standard galvanised one from a triumph dealer.

You might find someone on here who'd be willing to swap seats with you - try putting an ad in the classifieds section.

Matt

Matt thanks for the help. I'll be sure and check out Brent's web site.
