I was stuck behind a truck in traffic and I started wondering what was happening to my lungs.
For those that commute daily, or use the bike in city traffic, what do you do? It probably will get to the time we need to wear gas masks.

I usually light up a Camel and wait and hope for traffic to open up.

Tough guy... huh? That would be camel nonfilter right?
Seriously though, I almost refuse to ride behind a stinky car or diesel truck, either I'll blast around them or turn off.

Sidewalks, side roads, train and bus stations, walkways, bicycle paths and any other surface that is suitable.. Cops won't chase you if they know they have no chance of catching you! Cheers, Brad

2001, just before I ordered my BA, heading south on I-25 (very little-0 traffic) on my Ninja following a Saab.I did not see the state trooper parked under the bridge until I was dam near on top of him. Looked at the speedo, 146-147 mph.As the Saab and I blew by I looked at Mr. trooper and he shook his head. I looked in my mirror and guess he decided not to even try.Hmmmm, he does have a radio. My thought was if anyone is gonna get caught it's gonna be Mr.Saab.I only had 5 miles before my exit so I wound it up and made it home with no coppers on my tail.
A few months before that on a Sunday afternoon I was dialing the carbs (Ninja again). Carbs off, carbs on,carbs off, carbs on ......... Every time I made an adjustment I would spin around the block. (very quiet res. area) Made an adj. and went for a spin. This time I passed a sheriff going the opposite direction. He saw that I had no eye protection on and decided to give chase. Round and round the block we went until I beleived I had enough of a lead to make it into my garage and shut the door before he turned the corner. Made it, looked out the window and watched him speed by.
Some time in the 80's Riding my Maico 501 dirt bike on city streets (tuning again). Local fuzz gave chase and this time I played for a bit. Sidewalks, alleys you name it. I would lose him and find him time and time again. Finally decided he's gonna help here pretty quick so I ditched him for good and made it home with no trouble.
Again, on the Maico. Racing up and down a concrete arroyo which runs between the east & westbound lanes of I-40. There was only one access tunnell that never had a gate and I knew where it was. When I finally came out I discovered the local cops knew of this access as well.My punishment ? They made me push the Maico home. About two miles and mostly downhill.
Now that I have my BA, no more foolish riding !!!!!!! Just cruuuuusing
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrppppppppppppppp !!
