Who makes the best suspension for our bikes? Are the Progressive 440s better than the Ikons that Brent carries? Also, are the Progressive fork springs better than the ones I found at Bellacorse? Please let me know.

Oh man!! I'm going to jail!!

And I second Frank's nomination for the Progressive springs and 440 shocks. The only things that I can honestly compare them with are the stock items, and that is like comparing apples and oranges. With the Progressive parts, the bike handles and rides exceptionally better under ALL circumstances. The bike soaks up the bumps and handles the curves better than words can define. Definitely worth the $$$. My next step is a set of Metzeler or Avon tires, then she should really stick to the road like glue!

I like my 412s, especially riding 2 up. Much smoother ride with my wife on the bike than before. But then my stock shocks had about 36,000 miles on them when they were replaced, so there wasn't much life left in them.

Are the 440s twice as good as the 412s since they cost twice as much...Who knows? Really I wish I could've ridden all the shocks and then made a decision which one to buy, but that's just not possible unless you want to get into return shipping and restock fees. Plus some dealers will throw out their big NO RETURNS sign at you.

Maybe during the Georgia Rally we can get some good comparisons...if the guys get into some bike swapping.

I also have 412's with progressive lowering kit. If your thinking about lowering, they tell me 440's 11 1/2" are not available for our bikes. Sweet ride.
