I'm still waiting for the caliper for the 2006 America, Libby's, New Haven CT, rpt next week it should be delivered.
Now to the topic at hand.
What do you do differently when riding with temps are in the high 90's and high humidity?
I would take the liner out of my Olympia motorcycle jacket, always RIDE WITH A HELMET!!
The jacket is nylon mesh so the air goes right through the jacket.
Interested in your thoughts.

Florida, so take that into consideration. I rarely use the liner in my Tourmaster mesh jacket (rain being an exception), so I just change to a quick drying, wicking T-shirt and switch from the Modular Shoei to the 3/4 HJC helmet. Boots and Duluth Firehose pants are a constant. If it's really hot and I plan to do a lot of walking, I swap the leather ankle high boots for similar mesh boots. Choosing a cooler glove is probably the most important decision. I have several to choose from.

My hot weather gear consists of mesh Joe Rocket jacket & mesh overpants. The jacket & overpants zip together at the back. Both have either OEM &/or supplemental armor. Heat gear shirt under the jacket, & shorts under the pants.

Boots are Sidi leather ventilated with side zip & velcro close. Normally accompanied by UnderArmor low cut socks.

I have a few different pairs of ventilated gloves to choose from, with varying amounts of leather &/or hard protection, depending...

Usual helmet is full face modular, HJC RPHA90.

My take is, at this stage of my life, it's just not worth the risk, w/o the gear. YMMV...

Jeans, T shirt, no helmet for me, each to their own. I do not advocate less gear if you are not comfortable. It is a big risk a simple fall you can hit your head and it's over. I have been lucky I used to ride with no helmet when I was a kid and it was illegal and crashed a few times riding recklessly with just minor scrapes. flip side my friend ,right in front of me, was riding very slowly and fell. we were hopping a stone row to cross a field and a piece of wire from an electric fence that was no longer used and down on the ground caught in his rear wheel and stopped him dead and he just tipped over. I was waiting for him to get up brush off and continue but when he got up it was obvious he broke his collar bone.

Ah yes, in my youth I was bullet proof too with the jeans and t shirt and loved taking trips up across the South Carolina state line and shedding my cheapo 25 dollar helmet.Got stupid lucky one night when I went into a curve waaay too hot and ended up going over the handlebars and skidded my 25 dollar helmet down the asphalt for a while.
A bit more cautious in my later years though, still jeans but they have kevlar patches in them, always boots, a jacket and gloves hot or not and I can't even imagine riding without my HJC helmet anymore. But hey, to each their own.

Tropics of North Queensland,
Usually my kangaroo jacket with custom vents, armoured jeans, boot gloves.
Basically my standard kit.
Just went to go on the annual Christmas toy run here. 30 degrees 100% humidity.
I was trialling a new(ish) Triumph mesh jacket. Great while moving. Hotter than my Roo jacket when stopped

A dog, a bike, a ute, Now in the deep south.. Newcastle. Cold winters, cold rain Come on summer

Sweating in my mesh jacket at a stop provides the moisture that creates cool when moving again. That doesn't work in city traffic where the stops are too often and the go is too short.

I have gotten pretty good at leaving the cuffs of my riding jacket open (like air scoops) and getting my handgrip position so that air flows up the sleeves. If I get it just right, then air will flow up one sleeve and down and out the other. Sweat gone, feels great (for a while).

7 F here this morning, not going to work up a sweat today!

I once left the sleeves of my jacket loose to scoop up the cool air until one day I scooped up a yellow jacket. He was not happy about that at all and it lead to a rapid deceleration and strip down on the side of the road on my part. Cuffs are nice and tight before I roll these days.

Same thing happened to me Chy. Never did that again.
I used to wear a half helmet, two seasons in a row I got stung in the ear by yellow jackets.
I went to a full coverage helmet after that happened, twice. LOL

A bee was the end of me riding in shorts. That was an exciting 100 yards!

I once killed a goldfinch with my forehead. It felt like a rock.

I was late to ATGATT.

Maybe I have just been lucky and need to rethink my cool idea.

I have had bees in my helmet but not been stung. Feeling them walking around on my head was bad enough.

Been in SE Asia for the past 7 weeks and many ride without helmets or if they do wear them often the strap is not done up. Flip Flops are normal foot gear as very few have to be shifted as scooters are the norm. Lots of Aussies here on Bali and many follow the lead of the locals. Women in skirts on their way to work. As it has been raining south of the equator due to a cyclone off the NW corner of Aus the protective gear is mostly ponchos or a full wet weather suit.
