I like to do long distance touring (not on the SM) and am not opposed to putting on the miles. As for getting tired, that depends on the sort of riding. Scenic mountain passes with lots of twisties vs. riding across the plains or through a big city.

For me per day.

I would have to say 300-400 on interesting roads. 500-800 on boring roads. Taking regular breaks helps.

I have certain place I like to stop along most of the routes I ride. Most are places I know have good food or cool scenery.

"Back in the day" I could do 3 or 400 miles a day but seriously doubt I could do that anymore. At 66 I have a lot more aches and pains and a lot less need to push my limits.

Used to be wherever the destination was. Now it’s a lot shorter! Although I’ll still throw a leg over and ride 550 miles to Dahlonega or Moody Hollow in one day. Riding rural roads from the north side of Jacksonville’s 495. Towns like Waycross, Vidalia, Swainsboro, Louisville, Homer, Lula, jeez, rural Georgia is so beautiful.

I've done the Iron Butt ride on my Bonneville America but anymore I take my Tiger on long trips and run the BA around town. I haven't put in a multi hundred mile day on the America in a few years but the Tiger goes 300-500 miles in a day easy

Around 350 kilometers in a day is comfortable but sure if there were a destination could go a little further on the Speedy. This 72 year old butt gets sore after that long. I would love to take a Victory or Indian out for a long ride to see what the limit is on a long hauler.

Back when I used to go the the Ga rally I would do 572 to Lawrenceburg, TN. My son and I made it to Golden, Co. 728 miles and felt good enough that we could have made it 3 more hours to Grand Junction 952 miles close to an Iron Butt. Now at 72 I could probably make it to the grocery store and back. ????????

I just met a guy on the street in Budapest he is on a round trip from Mumbai India to London England on a Royal Enfield Himalaya. Talk about buns of steel ! I wished him good riding and keep the rubber side down. I forgot to ask how many sets of rubber he has gone through.

I'm 68, and a few weeks ago, I did 470 miles on my Honda CTX1300. The most I've done on my America is 405, but was pretty whipped by the end. A backrest and comfy seat would go a long way to up your comfort level.

The ride may be fun, but in the Great Scheme of things, it really is about the destination! John 3:16
