I suspect its the same for snowmobile, PWCs, ride on lawn mowers. etc. This debate may have occurred in the past around about the time I bought the 07 which was the last year Speedmaster were carbuerated and I missed it.

I am well known for wanting to go back to steel, carbs, points, etc... They try and hand you BS about mileage, I have a 1955 Studebaker in my garage and it gets about 35 MPG and probably weighs around 6,000 lbs and is all steel and chrome. No plastic garbage. I still have an issue with my Speedmaster going on 3 years now and if it had points it would have been running in an hour of the problem for very little cost. I spent a fortune trying to fix it CDI, coils, plugs , wires, pick up coil (crank sensor), set of carbs. I have been riding my 64 BMW, a magnito generator bike. It never gives me any issues and has never been apart. Leaks everywhere because the rubber parts are dry.Been riding that bike all over for 30 years, same with my 66 TR6C. The TR6C needs to be rebuilt now, still runs but worn out, everything, needs a complete rebuild, front end, wheels, engine, etc... I have too much other stuff going on, haven't worked on the Speedmaster in almost 2 years.

1955 Champion, 2 door hard top. It has 77,000 miles on it and I am the 2nd owner. Hasn't been out of the garage since 1992. I bet it would get less mileage with the ethanol. It has a little 185 CI flat head 6 in it.

1955 Champion, 2 door hard top. It has 77,000 miles on it and I am the 2nd owner. Hasn't been out of the garage since 1992. I bet it would get less mileage with the ethanol. It has a little 185 CI flat head 6 in it. What would it take to make it roadworthy again?

Probably have to replace the rubber parts again like last time I pulled it out. That and a new battery.
