So I dropped in a few months ago to say I was not dead.
Here is my Post Shop report.
After being charged for T/S to be told what I already knew, the root cause of my problem was the Pick-Up coil. the secondary problem was the carbs were once again in need of rebuilding. The break pucks were pretty corroded, but they cleaned them up and were able to rebleed it all.
The service guy was like , and hey I played with some numbers and we tossed in a oil change for ya. I was thankfull of that due to it had been sitting for a long time.
There was a list of lots of other recomendations. I passed and said just get her running. So, about $1300 later (+some overpriced gloves i had to buy at teh shop due to the weather that day) and the WA Registration / Title I made sure to get ahead of time ($350!!) I am on the road!!
Let me tell you! IT FELT SO FRIGGING GOOD!
I still have a brand new X-Ring chain to put on. I want to upgrade my Corbin Gunfighter to a Mustang or Saddleman gell and comfort foam as its just about even on cost as to getting the Corbin refoamed and gell.
Would like some heavier duty shocks as my son is as heavy as I am and not all the ladies are lightweights any more LOL. (yes a bigger bike wouldnt hurt but as mentioned in my last post,,,,
No more Thunderbirds

. Honestly is that name cursed in the Triumbh line now? It has been two that they started and dropped.
Winter is setting in in WA so once again the bike is on the tender and I have Stable in the fuel. I do run it about 10 min a week or so to keep everything nice and lubed and not gumming up again. if its not raining its butt off, ill take it for a spin.
Glad to see the core of this grupe is still alive and well.
Cheers!
