I have watched several of the virtual races. The first Indy and F1 type events were entertaining. NASCAR a little less for me. But the novelty wore off quickly. As I noted in the other thread, I am sooo glad I paid for the entry level F1TV offering back at winter testing. They feature a "classic" race weekly and have several packaged highlight shows. The archive is deep and I have re-watched several old races and watched race recaps to remember the previous seasons to be "up to date" when actual racing resumes.

I'm undecided, but the bottom line is that it doesn't matter.
The question is which is better, cartoon racing or re-runs of old racing?
I've watched less than 10 minutes of either.
Most days, I don't even turn my tv on.

Watkins Glen's president announced today that the schedule remains for the race there in August, but it may be held without spectators.
I should rejoin the safety crew there. I've watched many of those races from the rail. It would be strange to be there without thousands and thousands of other spectators. Like NASCAR doing a driving club weekend.

"maintaining social distancing throughout the event" Does that mean no rubbing in the corners or push drafting?

Will not be the same racing Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend. That is normally a long three race all day event for me. NBC will air last years Indy 500 Sunday. FOX/FS1 will have NASCAR live with no spectators Sunday & Monday. Still hoping the F1 circus can get started in June.

Yes, F1 is set to return. I have the DVR set for practice, qualifying and the race. I want to see as much of the weekend as I can IndyCar on the Indy road course as well this Saturday! NASCAR is at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend with IndyCar for a big race weekend.

Good race weekend F1, sure the guy on pole stayed out front the entire race. But what a race going on all the way down the field. "Dramatic" was the word. First real race, several unexpected reliability issues and a deserving young up & comer on the podium. Go Lando Norris!! IndyCar on the Indy road course turning left and right like they should. The aeroscreen challenges continue. Teams will do the R&D to provide better airflow to the driver since that seems to be the biggest problem with it now. When it is incorporated into the actual build of the next chassis it will blend into the rest of the car. Go Scott Dixon! NASCAR Xfinity on the same road course, entertaining enough. Cup on the oval, meh. Although there was real drama with the pit road accident. Overall a good race weekend
