why wouldn't they be? the only change is the fuel delivery

You never know. Cam timing and/or grind, valve sizes are the first few things that come to mind.

The cam in the 790 models are hotter than the 865 bikes.

Triumph did this for environmental standards. There have been owners that have put the carbed cam in the EFI model.

The 2007 model had the 865 with carbs. So yes it is possible.

My question is why? What are your thoughts.

Edit: sorry just noticed you have a 2007so you are looking at putting EFI on your bike?

I bet Triumph Twin Power would have the answer to the question.

Going from a CDI to an ECU would be interesting.

I actually think you have the best of both worlds with the 2007.

I have a 2005 that I have tricked out and love it.

With the mods you have done already what is your vision for making the mod?

My other thought is for what these bikes sell for what about just purchasing an EFI model?

My question is not based on getting more out of my bike rather it is based on the option to bring the bike back to stock as much as I can so I can trade it in and sell off the performance goodies.
The numbers make sense to remove all the fun stuff but finding carb gear is getting tough.

as long as you get the cams for a 270 degree motor you should be ok. heads should be interchangeable

I am not sure of the whole head being interchangeable since I am not sure on the FI mounting vs. the carb mounting. Also have the bearing journals stayed the same in the later bikes? (probably since early EFI did) Don't know the answers but those are some of what comes to mind to look for. In your case I would imagine as long as the journals are the same and it is from a 270ยบ engine you should be OK for selling purposes.

the head on my carb '02 looks the same as the head on the EFI '12 I have, except the color
