Page from a Buyers' Guide type magazine. Sorry about the image size - I don't see a way to moderate it. Things I noted: -It lists a 650 Triumph Speedmaster and a 500 Triumph Speed Tiger, neither of which had i ever heard of. -The Harley Electra-Glide is only $100 more than the Sportster. The rest of the material is here and easier to see.

I'm squinting a little however the guy in the tree red pants orange shirt looks a little like a friend of ours in Arizona. Very mod.

Those MPG numbers look optimistic. I never saw 100 mpg on a 305 Dream. It was nice to look back at the 1968 offerings though.

If you might be referring to me here Paul, then yeah, good catch here ol' buddy. Yep, that's me back in '68, alright.

(...uh-huh, and that's Mary Tyler Moore with her hand on my leg there TOO!)

Maybe they were using Imperial gallons they are a little more generous.

Bill so I guess what you are pointing out is that the price of motorcycles hasn't changed much in relative terms. Adjusted for 4% inflation a few more CCs and some extra kit they are close to the same price as in 1968.
