A week ago my son in law brought over his boat to me for a fuel pump rebuild.Been sitting there waiting for the part to come. I was outside working on my neighbors lawn mower when all of a sudden I hear an outboard motor cranking up. Yup the motor was cranking all by itself. (enter twilight zone music)Can't fathom how that could happen. Any ideas?

I'm guessing you have a chupacabra somewhere in your garage. They like boats.

Seems like you’ll be repairing more than just the fuel pump...
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

I knew a fella who was completely crazy and anytime you see him he would talk about going to blue mountain. And when the meth wars crank up if you want to survive go to blue mountain. He would say dont go by the highway go barbed wire to barbed wire. I downt know if blue mountain and blue ridge mountain are the same thing, could be, but it could be geographically odd around there. Kind of like magnetic hill in Oklahoma where cars and motorcycles coast up hill.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Many years back I had a poulterplug. It was a lamp socket which had a life of its own...would switch the lamp on whenever it felt like it. Turned out to be a wiring short. On the other hand my house was built in 1822. For years I'd wake up in the night convinced I'd heard a little girl talking. Never heard what she was saying. One night I heard the name 'Rosalind'. I said it out loud and got a reply..." No, ROSAMOND." After that I never heard her again. Sometimes my wife or I can smell toast...no reason for it...just can. And we're both of us born sceptics. Life is odd sometimes... Oh, and we have a well in the basement...capped off many years ago with concrete.....hmmm...don't want to go there.
I took the Road Less Travelled.
Now where the ****** am I?

Wish I felt well enough to go out snooping around. Last night we had a big thunderstorm. Someplace nearby, I heard a really loud 'ZZZT-BABOOM!". Didn't seem to have hit the house or outbuildings, but I bet there is a burn spot in the cow pasture.

Reminds me of a high school friends flathead Ford. We were tuning it up one day and, when he shut it off, it was making strange humming noises and slowly turning over. The contacts in the cutout relay in the regulator had stuck and, when the engine was off, the generator was running like a motor.

Reminds me of a VW station wagon we rented in Mexico, the windows would start going down all by themselves in jerky fits and starts then they might reverse and start going back up, it was possessed. Fortuneately they stayed up when the car was parked with all of our luggage in it. Freaky. It turns out that according to our friend who was N. American parts mgr for VW at the time it was a common occurance with the model. Gremlins in the electronics.

You can expect stuff like that from VW. I one had one that was designed to automatically disassemble the left side of the engine every week or two.

Was Bosch farming out work to Lucas?
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

There’s definitely something to this “spirit” or “entity” stuff. Briefly my personal experience. Circa 1966, southwest Atlanta. In the 5 years of living at 1450 Sylvan road in the Capitol View area there were several entities witnessed by smell and sight by several of my family members inside the huge house built in 1928. People (more than one) entranced, and either entering the house or leaving the house without having any idea where they are, or why. I personally remembering 2 individuals walking into the front room while I was watching Gillian’s Island, their eyes wide and fixed like a zombie or something. They would suddenly come out of the trance and apologize saying this had never happened to them before. My dear Aunt MaryAnn left the house around 11:00 pm, wouldn’t respond to my Mom. The police found her wandering thru Perkerson Park 2 hours later in the same “entranced” condition. Long Story NOT Short.... (I’m at work bored stiff😳). The final night in the house was a Friday. My Dear Mother wakes me up screaming bloody murder from her room. I hear her scramble to the living room where she is in hysterics. (This really messed me up mentally I would find out later). “Just a bad dream honey, I’m okay, go back to bed”. The next morning at the breakfast table, She snapped saying “She can have this God forsaken hell hole, I’ve got to get out” and took off out the front door, leaving me and my 3 brothers and Dad. She told us later, that she opened her eyes after feeling like she was being suffocated. A woman with no eyes was hovering over her, face to face, and that’s when she screamed and had a nervous breakdown. History of the house and past residents proved fascinating to me. I researched the house back in 1999, and learned that a 77 year old woman had committed suicide in one of the bathrooms in July of 1961. Once the bathroom was opened up by my Dad ( After being advised by the previous owner NOT to), all hell broke loose. Apparently this opened a “portal” that allowed apparitions to come and go thru a dimension created by her death. I believe it, but don’t understand it....

(...but were you a Mary Ann or Ginger guy back then, dude?)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
