Open the case and a light smear of Permatex Ultra Black will fix it.

If you don't have a stator cover gasket on hand when you do the job then you will surely need one. If you do have a replacement gasket on hand, then you probably won't need it...

When I took them off all I did was smear the mating surface with the Ultra Black and they don't leak, no gasket.

Gasket? Do you mean the grommet on the wire? Part number?

The grommet just needs a small amount of sealer. The gasket is separate.

My '09 has leaked off and on from the same since I bought it with 6K miles on it a few years back.

Sealed it, and it stopped leaking.

Now leaking again - and I had changed the oil not long before the leak started.

I put a quart of Polydyne TX7 in it in place of a quart of Rotell-T Synthetic (blue jug, 5W-40).

I'm thinking that may have something to do with it. Once I get to that next oil change I'll change it w/out the Polydyne and see what happens. Just a suspicion - the additive may be having an affect on the seal.
