I bought one of these almost seven years ago and have been very happy with it. I mounted it to the metal strip on my Memphis Fats and it has been perfect. The only issue was finding a flush mount screw that looked like the other screws from the outside. https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/112719472178?fromMakeTrack=trueAll the other mounts are either ugly or complex. This is simple and elegant and puts the GPS right where I want it.

The price is good too. You went through an existing hole in the windshield?

One of the bolt holes that hold the metal strapping of the windshield. Just replaced the screw with one a bit longer.

I made my own for my "el cheapo" $100 Garmin. I fabbed up a metal frame that the Garmin sits in, and it even has a locking tab that has to use a key to take the device off. I don't have a "fancy phone" like most of you fellas and I am too lazy to keep taking the Garmin off the bike every time I go in to pay for gas.

That's why I used a cheapo Garmin. If it was stolen I could always get another for less then $100. Now that I bought a high dollar one I remove it whenever I leave the bike somewhere I can't see it.
