Hey guys, I got myself some clear lense el-cheapo signals from BC recently because my pumpkins REALLY look big next to my new driving lights. I like these signals because, when lit, you can see them from the side! Good times. Anyway, I have mine wired for running lights, so ideally I'd like amber front, red rear, but that's not an option. I went lookin for amber or red replacement bulbs, no good. Found some little red squirrell condom type things for the rear bulbs, but no luck on Amber. Then today, it was staring me in the face. Amber lense repair tape! So I'm gonna give it a try tonight on the fronts. See how it works. A small strip of that on the inside of the lense cover, should be good to go!! They have red tape too.

Here's another thing you can try... go to a hobby shop and check out the paints they sell for plastic models (model planes, cars, etc.. not cindy crawford ). They sell translucent red & amber paints to put on the clear plastic parts for turn & tail lights, there's no reason it shouldn't work on the inside of the full-sized items too.

Piper found some of that over there in Fjord-land, but I couldn't find any at autoparts stores, will see how this goes first This way, internally taping them, preserves the clear lense look when not lit.

Ben, Custom Dynamics LINK sells amber and red 1156 and 1157 bulbs in both silver and natural colors. Click the link above and scroll about 5/8 to 3/4 way down the page.

Thing is I have different signals... I'll have to see what kind of bulb they are then look there. Thanks for the link! I was going to turn to internet searches next, but the tap got my eye... and was only 2 bucks.
