Coming home from work Tuesday, got rear ended in Sanford Flat. Did not go down.Fender got bent under, tailight got destroyed as well bent turn signals tire got scraped. Other party has GEICO and has disappeared. They won't do anything till they talk to them. Least I didn't get hurt.

You start by sending Geico a Certified letter stating how you need a rental until this is resolved and which Physicians they want to send you to, for a medical and psychological eval to see if you can even still ride. They have people there, who can do math and their opinion carries weight.

You have 14 days after an accident to seek medical ck !! Get x-rays at least because whiplash can go unnoticed for yrs but then show up causing a problem and if you don't have it looked at now you can't do anything later . I don't care how minor of if you think your ok , get checked !!!!

Any decision you receive in writing from an Insurance Company becomes the way it is unless you protest such decision in writing before 30 days. They almost force you you to get a lawyer. After all, the Trial Lawyer Lobby is one of the most powerful, go figure. And Newt is exactly right, go get a Med Eval. before the time limit expires.

Getting rear ended has always been a fear I've had. A few years back, my friend was rear ended while waiting at an intersection on his Goldwing. The woman who hit him was putting on makeup and talking on her cell while driving her vehicle. He ended up with a sore back and bruises. The bike was written off. Glad you are ok.  The bike can be fixed.

What color? Took 6 days to get GEICO to admit their customer hit. Me. Got a Mitsubishi eclipse rental. Still waiting to speak to adjuster.went to ER last Friday found out I am 62 aches and pains take longer to heal. But I am all right. Now we wait on bike. Need a therapy ride.

Glad you are ok. Sorry for the bike.
Those are god awful looking taillights anyway. Rental car should be interesting. Getting parts is a pain for Triumphs. Be interesting to see how long that lasts.
