I just got a saddleman seat for my 04 America. a couple of quick observations. It's bigger than the stock touring seat. it's harder and you sit a little higher. going to take a 100 mile ride tomorrow so I should know how well it works. should have asked before I bought it, but dose anyone have any experience with these seats?

They're comfortable as long as they have the "pay extra for" backrest to me. They do breathe, which helps in hot weather. They make a few variations and you get what you paid for. If I can't have my favorite broke in, Corbin, Saddlemen s makes my second choice for touring. I had two, sold one to a Member in Florida, still have the Cadillac backrest model on my two-up bike.

I'll bet you better give it a few hundred miles to break in. I got the Mustang with backrest and love it.

I don't know about the saddleman but I love my Corbin once it was broken in.It took around 1,000 Kms as I remember. As the blurb says it's a saddle not a seat.Much better than te stock seat and the best modification I've made.I also had a Mustang on a honda I had awhile back it too was a big improvement on the stock honda seat

I think it's going to be much better than the stock seat. It did take a little butt time to break it in. Glad I made the investment!

Have you tried the Triumph gel seat? I had one, and it seemed like they took a standard seat, and put a gel pad on top of it. Being higher up and having less seat behind my butt, I felt like I was going to fall off. Is that Saddlemen built like that? I ask, because you mentioned feeling higher on the bike.

You do sit on the bike in lieu of down lower, in the bike. Saddlemen seats do fit up higher than some of the other brands. Also they seem to splay your legs out a little wider, not as bad a OEM Rocket, but close.

Its really a good feel. Seems to feel better the more times I ride it. Never had a Triumph gel seat
