After removing the AI,balencing my carbs and have turned my pilot screws 2 3/4 turns and still getting yellow on my pipes(though they do seam to be not as hot)I am going to get some jets.Sinse I am going to rejet I might as well get a Uni filter and do the snorkel removal as well.So when I'm done I'll have...
- AI removed
- carb balance checked and balanced if necessary
- Triumph off roads(long)
- pilot screws 2 3/4 turns
- removed snorkels
- Uni filter
- (if this has any relvance)18 tooth sprocket
If any one want's to dip their ore in and give any sugestions I won't mind!

I'd try 130 mains, one shim, and turn the screws out to 3-1/2. If you don't mind the hassle or possibly having to take out the needles twice, i'd go 2 shims and remove one if the bike stumble or coughs any. One for sure, but you may get a good bit more midrange power with 2 if the intake and exaust are open enough. Hard to say.

I have a similar configuration in many respects:

- AI removed
- Carbs balanced
- TOR Longs
- Pilot Screws 3.5 turns out
- Snorkel removed
- Airbox Drilled
- K&N Drop-in filter (bottom opened)
- Stock Pilots (42)
- Stock Needles w/2 .8mm brass shims
- 132 Mains

What pipes you are running makes a big difference in the jetting. The more open pipes: Tbike, Sceptres, Epco, SS, Bubs - breathe way better than the TOR series and those with lots of packing in them.
More open pipes = larger main jets.
More airbox mods = bigger mains too.

Good starting points:
TORs and no snorkle - 120,
Open pipes, along with snorkle removed, start at 130.
Airbox drilled, open pipes, no snorkles start at 140.
Freaked with seperate pods and open pipes, start at 150.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat
