Yeah, a real shame. I only knew him through his couple of parts in Kill Bill 1 & 2. I shall search out his other work ...

I watched every single Bronson episode! Only Micheal Parks could pull off that easy talking manner.
Hmmm, kinda Kung Fu with a motorcycle.

We had the pilot of the series here at the "drive ins"
He does have some sins to atone for. "Then came Bronson" was a big part of my buying a 1974 Sportster which left me stranded on the side of the road more times than I wish to remember. I didn't have the magical/special "Bronson rock" to fix it.

There was no magic in fixing 69 and 70 Sportsters other than push it home. Then they came out with all electric and no kick starter. You had to remember to park on a hill.

I remember reading a bike magazine, maybe Easyriders, that said Bronson must be able to fix his sportster with a rock,he could do it so easily. That's were the "Magic rock" stuff started.

Never had to push my Ironhead home, If something did go wrong you could fix it with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver. Not so much with today's electronic marvels.

Never missed an episode ! Was just talking with a lifelong friend that also has a passion for our sport and him and I use to watch together every week at his house or mine . I believe that show inspired a lot of youngsters to get a bike ? I know it was part of the inspiration for me taking the trip of a lifetime around the outer perimeter of the USA !! I enjoyed watching him in everything he was in from something a minor as Perry Mason to Bronson ! Lol he was one of a kind and will always be glad that the powers that be in hollywierd had the sense to produce that show and get it on the tele for us youngsters to watch and dream about life on a motorcycle !! RIP Michael ( Bronson) Parks !!
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

Definately an iconic show. Never saw the series but saw the "movie" at least three times through my teens on tv. Pretty sure the image of the "lonewolf, independant, confident biker out on the road" is a part of my subconscious. As far as the HD in the series goes, can you IMAGINE how many sporties this show sold for HD? But I'm glad I wasn't old enough to have one when this show was on, from everything I've ever heard I saved myself a lot of grief in not owning one. And as an aside, my first bike was a 71 Bonnie, and I'm pretty sure I could have traveled the length of the U.S. reliably. And it was easily as fixable as the Sporty, if not easier.

My Sportster XLH dropped a valve into the piston at 500 miles then when it was "fixed" they pinched the rubber overflow pipe under the engine.Blew all the oil out of the oil tank and just about seized the engine.Filing the [beautiful looking]2.25 gal. tank every two days just commuting to work became a pain quickly too.I traded it in on a car the car yard sold it to a guy.Apparently it blew up again on this guy according to the salesman I ran into later and the car yard had to get the crappy H D dealer[the only one in town]to fix it again for the guy.Another guy I knew bought the 1974 XLCH and had a ton of trouble with his too. Not stuff you could fix with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver. Bronson was a great show though!

I found some episodes on youtube."The forest primeval" was on there. That must have been where the "magic rock" came from.He bashes his front mudguard straight with a rock. I was just thinking that Sportster must have got the best mileage of any bike in the world too.
