Has anyone tried to fit Dunstall replicas to our bikes? It looks like they could be made to fit on there. Thoughts?

I've got some of the Dunstall pipes on my old Daytona. While trying to decide on mufflers I took them off and put them on the America. They will fit, that was not a prob, however I just didn't think they looked right on the bike. Maybe if they were a longer muffler it would look good. Being so short, around 27" long, they just made it back to the peg hangers and they looked a little to megaphone-like to me. I love the way they sound, really awesome but not worth it in the "looks" department. Now if I could find a set another 10" long me thinks they would rock. (the above only my opinion and not meant to insult anybody's sense of style, hehe)

It would be pretty easy to extend the header pipe 10".

I don't think the complete system will work for our bikes. I think it was Pat that said the header pipes are different sizes.

You can order the Dunstalls from Specialty Spares for $185.00 pr. The adaptors are for the Bonnevilles not the Americas or Speedmasters, that gos for the complete systems also.

Hi Tom, Dunstalls - Still my favorite song. I had them on all my old vertical twin bikes, the Brits and my Yamaha TX650A. Still the best sound ever from motorcycles. JCWhitney makes about the cheapest copy. If I knew I could get a good extention on my headers to get the 27" Dunstall replicas to the rear end of my bike, I'd buy a pair tomorrow just to try them out. Absolutely the sweetest exhaust note ever. I know our younger members won't remember that, but you can play all the Scepters, D&D, EPCO, Thunderbike & Specialty songs you want. Nothing compares to that sound. Dennis
