I think I remember a post form a long time ago where someone on here made up a tool box using the rear peg hangers. I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm looking for some good ideas for storage of my gun when I'm riding and can't take into certain establishments, work, courthouse, on base, etc....
I'm open to any ideas or suggestions.

Maybe you could take one of those low profile TSA approved steel cases and weld or bolt it to the top of your swingarm crossmember, that is located directly under the rear of the airbox. I have one for flying, powder coated exterior, double locks with a single barrel key and a O-ring seal. Sorry, I can/t check clearances for you as I run DNA Pods and the airboxes are long gone. My TSA box will fit a 1911 or a Sig P220 with ammo and it's fairly thin, for what it is. It cost me $26 and change at Cabelas, IIRC.

air box conversion to tool box

I have one of the HD style boxes where the rear peg hanger was. It has 2 mounting holes that line up well with the peg hanger bolt holes. I made a brace to fit the rearmost hole in the box from a bit of 3/16 thick strap iron. The forward end of this brace bolts to the upper peg hanger bolt hole.
