This is where Amanda will be living in three months. Huh? A daughter of my friend Ric, who lives in Myrtle Beach SC, is getting married on tax day to a lad from Sudbury. Any thoughts on that part of the Isle?

Any witty conversation topics as I suck down all the booze during the reception?

OK you Englishmen, wax poetic!

OK, you asked

For starters, we'd say the address the other way round - Sudbury, Suffolk, East Anglia. (Don't say "Suffolk County", just "Suffolk").

TBH it's not an area of England I know well. The cliches are that it's flat, not heavily populated (by UK standards), full of American air-force bases, and a little bit...how shall I put this...let's say that rumour has it that family members sometimes know each other *very* well

sudbury chamber of Commerce.

Never been to the area myself so cannot offer more personal insights!

Well, I was on the USS Suffolk County LST 1173 in 1970. Ship is now drydocked in Virginia.
Nobody cares, just thought I'd throw it out.

Firstly, as an accountant, you'll never miss the anniversary, will you?

Secondly, I'm reading between the lines here, are they getting wed in the US?
No chance of it being over here so you can pay little 'ol us a visit?

Can be summed up in a just a few words....CRAP FOOTBALL TEAMS. Dont believe me, how about Ipswitch Town and Norwich City. Theres a good laugh for ya.

Like most places in England. Take a side turn through some country lanes and you are sure to come across some really nice quite villages with some of the nicest pubs you will ever find.

You can narrow that down even more: Yota!

Yes. They are wedding in the USofA, Myrtle Beach SC. Lynn and I are planning for a 2007 English Pub tour. Did I just say that? I meant to say that we intend to see the country side and sit a spell with one ex-rugby player.
