Hi all, Just pulled my '06 out of the trailer. Front forks were compressed for about three days. Seems like the front end is sitting just a hair lower than it was. Is there a recommended amount of play for the front fork? I've never changed the fork oil (21,000 miles), if that's relevant. Thanks all.

Only spring fatigue would cause that, the oil only acts as a dampener. You can compensate spring sag to a limited extent by increasing the thickness of the top washer or the length of the spacer tube if you want/need more. Changing out old fork oil will extend the service life of the fork internals, but that's your call.

I have a set of stock springs for an 08 America I could send you for the cost of shipping if you decide to go that route. I also have a set of shocks if any one wants them, same deal. They both have about 10K miles on them. Mike

Did you bounce the front end a few times to see if they returned to what you remember as normal?

Thanks all. I think I'll be fine for this trip and then think about an upgrade for next season. Thanks.

Ricor Intiminators are the easiest solution to squaring away the stock forks on our bikes. I have them on all four of mine. No more excessive brake dive and inadvertently running over an object that will make you eat chit, becomes a recoverable experience.
