I notice on a lot of posts on line people block their License plate number. What is the reason for that?

They are afraid someone's going to track them down by their plate number. Put on your tin foil hat!

You see that on Craigslist all the time. Only LEOs and any vehicle Insurance company can push a button and get a name/address reference from a plate #. If somebody knows any different, please share, I wouldn't mind accidently running into certain women I notice. I like to fish where the fish are.

Never have seen a reason for that. It's hangin out in public all the time already.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Bill, I think your safe. A thief will climb over 3 Triumphs, 2 Hondas and a Victory just to steal a Harley that he has to push home because it won't run.

In the UK it's because of people Cloning your number plate your vehicle will be legal (ie) Insured Taxed MOT so if they use your number plate it will pass Police Camera checks known as ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition that are fitted to some Police cars ..

That's to save time jumping the ignition. Nobody pays any attention to one more Harley being pushed home.
