Now that I am getting Older my wrist is bothering me I was wondering if anyone has used a product that can ease the pain while I ride ? Really bothering me when using the throttle.

Chris, Two things have brought me some relief - 1. A throttle rocker. It seems to take some of the stress from the wrist. 2. changing the angle of the bars. rolling them down about an inch made a big improvement for me. You might need to try several settings and test rides to see if there is any improvement. I've also noticed that the more I ride the less discomfort I experience.

I have De Quervain's syndrome/disease affecting both my thumbs/wrists.Throttle and clutch.I have used a throttle rocker on longish trips but I find bigger diameter handgrips like Kuriyakin iso grips help.I have some scorpion brand that're a little better.A wrist strap leather or elastic can help too

I have the iso grips with throttle bosses on both sides to make my hand shape on the grip on non-symmetrical. also an o-ring between the grip flange and the throttle housing really helps hold the throttle position with low effort.

I've used the Crampbuster, or something similar, to reduce wrist problems. Cheap and effective. http://www.crampbuster.com

I went to sit on the new Thruxton last week my wrists ached just thinking about that riding position for more then a couple blocks. ISO grips and throttle boss but have not tried the O ring idea yet. And Voltaren is over the counter here.

Hyperflex the tendons slowly in degrees. Grab your fingertips with your left hand and bend the fingertips and wrist back towards the elbow until it starts to hurt a bit. Hold it for 30 seconds or so. Now do the thumb. Increase as the days go by and see if that helps. I have totally cured plantar fasciitis in my feet by stretching.

Yep! Barry's "handlebar angle" thought IS probably your issue here, Chris.
Over the years I've noticed almost ALL handlebars that don't turn down on the ends at least 30 to 45 degrees from horizontal will have my wrists hurting after hours in the saddle.

Interesting observation. I have original drag bars on my Speedie with Rivco risers to pull them up and back but have kept them flat angle mostly due to the length of the cables. Tweaking them down a little might help although a straight bar may be just as beneficial as it is the slight turn out of my wrist that bothers me more.

The issue of Ergonomics is of course very subjective and there is never a "one size fits all" solution to these kinds of things Paul, but from my experience anyway, I found handlebars that go straight out and at a horizontal level will after a short while cause what seems to be a carpal tunnel like pain in my wrists...the right/throttle side one especially.
I first noticed this back in the late-'90s and after riding my '95 Triumph Sprint which came stock with clip-on bars that had little to no downward angle to them. After I installed a handlebar conversion mount and bolted a "superbike" style handlebar on it and which had ends that bent down at about a 30 degree angle, I never suffered this pain again.
I also found that the pain returned while I rode Thannassis' '96 BMW R1100RT around Europe 7 years ago, and which had bars very similar to those that originally came on my Sprint.

"Ergonomics" a word only production assembly line engineers used almost a half century ago. Oh, and BMW auto designers, when their cars were austere and fun to drive.

Dwight, you have something there Boy-O. I loosened the clamps dropped the bars to where it felt most comfortable which is about 35 degrees off level adjusted the brake and clutch angle and went out for a 3 hour ride. Better, without changing the ergonomics of the riding position much. I'll try some more angle in the future to see where the sweet spot is.

Here is what I bought on a whim http://www.amazon.com/Elite-Compression-...ailpage_o01_s00 Been on two long runs they seem to help a lot. The problem with the wrist pain was beyond riding but short term these seem to do a decent job,

It might not be your bike at all. Make sure your computer mouse is close enough and low enough that you can keep your elbow at your side and reach straight out to use it. I worked at one place where we had keyboards and mice on a workbench that was chest high and the mouse location was such that we had to stretch to reach it. This caused all kinds of shoulder and wrist pain.
