That was interesting. If you look at the dates its very understandable with starvation, war, oppressive government. If things are good where they are they don't tend to leave.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Boy! You'd think with all those people moving into Kansas, that flat ol' prairie state with more than it share of tornados would be pretty crowded by now, wouldn't ya?!!!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Interesting for sure and seems to align with events and conditions at the various times. However, I was surprised and puzzled by the number of times Canada is in the top three. Can anyone shed some light on that?

Canada and the USA share one of the longest borders in the world, same language and culture. It's only natural that there is a lot of immigration, good paying jobs were once plentiful in the northern states due to manufacturing. My wife's family is from Canada and half of them still live there, the ones that moved here came for good paying jobs back in the 1960's.

One of our worst acts was to kick out all those Acadians and send them south to New France. You have all that good Cajun music due to that and y'all got that southern drawl for the same reason.

New France? I know things have gotten bad since Obama got in, but New France? You just wait until my wife catches you in the mens room and kicks your butt. LOL.

She does know about the Louisiana Purchase eh? I think you won big with that one back in 1803 although most of the city names were kept. Ah yah she probably could kick my butt.

It's interesting how little immigration happened from the continent of Africa once it was voluntary.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

December, January, February and often March.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Note that after the Immigration and Nationality Act Amendments of 1965 the dots from Mexico start to become a solid line. Also, note the most quoted quote concerning the new law, Senate Immigration Subcommittee Senator Edward Kennedy remarked that "the bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs." (U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
