Hi guys....I have a 2005 America and I am thinking of having it detailed. The detailer is offering the CQuartz package but it's pretty expensive. Has anyone here used CQuartz on their bike? Thoughts? Thanks group!

I've never been a fan of protective coatings on cars or bikes. Seems a waste of money. Just wax, clean and salt-free and out of direct sun lasts for years.

I agree with Wade just clean and wax the bike. If you have surface scratches us clay, polish, and wax. as far a chrome I use Blue Max Metal Polish cream or Meguiars Chrome Polish. There are a number of good brands.

You can find good instructions on youtube.

I do not hose the bike down just wash and rinse from a bucket.

Nothing right or wrong just what works for you.

Number one recommendation DO NOT use tire shine on the tires unless you want it to slide out from under you.

Don't think of it as work. Think of it as motorcycle foreplay.

Go easy on the chrome polish, it is abrasive and the chromium is VERY thin. Just don't gouge on it too hard.

And do not use chrome polish on the instrument panel it is plastic.
